FICTIONAL CASE STUDY

Context: KB Dental (fictional company) is a nationwide dental corporation that focuses on general dentistry and orthodontics, with over 3,000 dental professionals working in forty states within the United States. 

Challenge: After a recent survey, it was discovered that only 20% of the patients were using their electric toothbrushes properly. Improper use of an electric toothbrush could lead to trauma of the oral mucosa as well as leave behind plaque. 

Solution: A humorous microlearning unit was designed for patients to promote safe and accurate use of electric toothbrushes.

Result: Data gathered three months later showed a dramatic improvement.  95% of the patients who participated in the microlearning were able to demonstrate the proper brushing technique to their hygienists. Patients found the microlearning unit entertaining, quick, and easy to understand.
