CASE STUDY

Context: BECS specializes in structural and architectural maintenance, repair, and stabilization programs for new, existing, and historic structures, serving clients in six states.

Challenge:

When sent out to assess and write estimates for multi-million dollar building repairs, company employees often underestimated the costs due to their lack of knowledge about the building envelope and moisture intrusion.

Solution:

A rapid eLearning course was designed on Articulate Rise 360 to review the various building envelopes and reasons for moisture intrusion. This course closed the knowledge gap, promoting accurate repair estimates and happier clients.

Result: Managers and employees found the ease of access, outside of time and place restrictions, as a welcome change. Employees preferred the engaging activities and scenarios over instructor-centered presentations.
